Catalin Rotaru- Saint-Saens Cello Concerto

A real treat from bassist Catalin Rotaru- a musician who seems to always push the envelope of new transcriptions and repertoire for the doublebass.  Lately, he’s tackled the Tchaikvosky “Rocco Variations”, two Caprices by Paganini originally for solo violin, and the Haydn’s C-Major Cello Concerto.  Wow!!   In his spare time he teaches at Arizona State University.
