“Christmas Concerto” by Archangelo Corelli

After about 6 concerts last week, the month of December has already been a flurry of activity for me.  Yesterday, I had a chance to perform this marvelous piece with two distinguished string faculty from the University of Texas.  I’m a real fan of the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and couldn’t help but share their impressive performance.  The piece receives it’s title from the last movement [view HERE] – a Pastorale (in the feel of siciliana) which lends itself to the mental picture of the Christ-child being rocked back and forth in the cradle in the holy nativity.
