Somber tone at UT yesterday

As most of you know now there was a lone gunman who fired shots on campus before taking his life in the library yesterday morning.  Thankfully nobody else was injured in this event, but it does hit awfully close to home.  As mentioned just a few days I was anticipating a performance at the Blanton Museum- very close to that part of campus where all this took place.  I am fortunate that I was not on campus at that time yesterday- I was returning to Austin from teaching some lessons and heard about the situation via text messages from the University.  I understand times like these are hard and words can’t describe the emotions people feel.  I’d like to conclude with the music of Samuel Barber as performed by Volkan Orhon:
