Andrew Anderson on the Fundamentals of Posture and Left Hand Shape

I met bassist Andy Anderson a few years ago while I was working on my master’s degree at Northwestern University.  He is a member of the orchestra at the Lyric Opera in Chicago, member of the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra, and also teaches at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts.

This video, I hope, is a beneficial look at developing proper standing posture and left hand spacing on the doublebass.  Enjoy!
