Vivaldi Concerto in D by Il Gardino Armonico

Many times at a wedding you hear the middle movement of the Vivaldi (Lute) Concerto in D major.  This particular concerto has taken many forms and arrangements over the years.  My wife has a version for harp that she is asked to occasionally play as a processional-type piece at weddings.  This video by the Italian period group “Il Gardino Armonico” is a great interpretation of this wonderful work.  The short commentary in the beginning really helps you understand how these musicians resonate with the perspective of authentic performance.    I like the videography, however it is a bit “MTV-esque”.  Enjoy!
